The Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), Government of Sindh organized an Appreciation Award Ceremony for honoring 26 students of SE&LD & the Foundation (SEF) Assisted Schools studying under Sindh School Education Scholarship Program (SSESP) who have secured A/A1 grade in Matriculation Examination held for the Academic Year 2019-20 in the Karachi & Federal Board of Examinations. Total 26 students have achieved this major milestone out of which 12 students belong to SEF’s partner institute, Dr. A.Q Khan School System, Ibrahim Campus Islamabad whereas 14 students are from NJV Higher Secondary School, Karachi.It has been a tradition at the Foundation to appreciate the students, teachers, operators/stakeholders who perform extra ordinarily in assessment tests & annual examinations. In order to encourage the students to perform better, SEF in the past has also extended appreciation Awards to high performing students. It is in this background that the Foundation is organizing yet another “Appreciation Event” for honoring the 26 high achieving students who secured A/A1 grade in Matriculation Examination held for the Academic Year 2019-20. The aim of the appreciation event is to appreciate, encourage & motivate the students by rewarding them with laptops on the stage in front of such huge audience in order to inspire all other students for such achievement.
The ceremony was attended by the limited number of people due to the situation of COVID-19 & keeping in view the SOPs & guidelines issued by the Provincial Government. Although the event was attended by the academia; high officials, students; parents and Senior Management of Sindh Education Foundation.The Managing Director SEF, Mr. Abdul Kabir Kazi welcomed the participants and gave a brief overview of SEF’s achievements. He also applauded the efforts of high achieving students & encouraged them for their future goals. The ceremony included glimpses of SEF’s performances documentaries & presentations. Moreover, Hon’ble Commissioner, Sukkur Mr. Shafiq Ahmed Mahesar was the Chief Guest of the event meanwhile the Vice Chancellor Sukkur IBA University Prof. Dr. Syed Mir Muhammad Shah graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor accompanied by top Faculty of Sukkur IBA University and the Vice Chancellor of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development (BBSUTSD) Khairpur Mirs.The Commissioner Sukkur, Mr. Shafiq Ahmed Mahesar while addressing to the audience applauded the efforts & contributions of the Foundation in education sector, he also appreciated & encouraged to organize such events for students in order to motivate not only high achieving but also other fellow students who would get inspired. Meanwhile, the Chief Guest Mr. Mahesar and Guest of Honor Mr. Mir Muhammad Shah distributed laptops and appreciation certificates among high achieving students.Worthy Managing Director, SEF, Mr. Abdul Kabir Kazi while sharing views with the media said that the Foundation is assigned by the Government of Sindh i.e. Chief Minister, Sindh to open 1,000 more new schools in the province of Sindh in order to bring 200,000 out-of-school children in schools & provide them free quality education integrated with science and technology in the rural areas of the province. He further said that apart from this segment of the appreciation event, another segment of the appreciation event would be held at Karachi for honoring 14 high achieving students of NJV Higher Secondary School studying under Sindh School Education Scholarship Program (SSESP).
The Managing Director- SEF, Mr. Kazi in the ending remarks said that Foundation has been able to make breakthroughs under the guidance of its Board under the Chief Minister Sindh and support of the Minister Education. The SEF team, Partners and students are all to be applauded for being part of a journey which will help the country move forward on the education front. He also extended gratitude to all the distinguished guests, chief guest, guest of honor, parents, students & SEF officials for gracing the occasion.
