Green School Awards Ceremony

The Green School Awards Ceremony was organized by Sindh Education Foundation; Sindh Education Foundation presented” Green School Award” to 22 school partners. The purpose of the ceremony was to motivate tree plantation campaigns to improve the environment, which is also the stand of Government of Sindh and Federal Government.

KARACHI: The Sindh Education Foundation, Government of Sindh organized a Green School Awards ceremony, while maintaining SOPs. SEF present shields to the Foundation’s 06 fellow school partners, and certificates to 17 school partners, demonstrating high performance from across the province.

News Detail: The Sindh Education Foundation, Government of Sindh has started planting trees and plants for the last two years in order to improve the environment. 182 partners planted trees and plants in the schools since 22 school partners were given awards at Head office Karachi, while the remaining 160 school partners will be present at regional offices Sukkur, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas Regions will be given the Green School Award. While Speaking, Mr. Abdul Jabbar Marri (Director HR & P&P) said that the purpose of the Green School campaign is to clean the environment from pollution. This series is an effective step towards the tree plantation campaigns of the Provincial & Federal Government. Further, He said that the awards ceremony will be held in the month of December every year so that all the schools of the Foundation take part in this and play their part in making the environment clean and green. While addressing in the ceremony, Mukhtar Ali Chandio, Deputy Director Programs & Dilshad Pirzada, Regional Head Karachi Highlighted the importance of planting trees and their value and also praised efforts of partners for planting Trees and making environment green.

On this occasion, the Head teacher from Azam Basti, presented a beautiful painting made by the children to Abdul Jabbar Marri and she said a tree is planted by every child in the school.
